The Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA) has formally announced the schedule of key induction activities for newly admitted postgraduate students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The announcement was conveyed through an internal circular issued by the College of Postgraduate Studies and signed by the College Secretary, Mrs. Aisha Lawal. Clear. Precise. No ambiguity.

Orientation Kicks Off First

The postgraduate orientation programme is fixed for Wednesday, 21 January 2026, with activities commencing promptly at 9:00 a.m.

This session is designed to properly usher new postgraduate students into the FULAFIA system. It will cover academic regulations, institutional expectations, and essential guidelines for navigating postgraduate study at the university. Think structure, standards, and survival tips—minus the unnecessary fluff.

Matriculation Comes Next

Matriculation will follow immediately on Thursday, 22 January 2026, also scheduled to begin by 9:00 a.m.

This ceremony serves as the official induction of students into the postgraduate community of the university. Attendance is not optional. Skipping matriculation is the academic equivalent of shooting yourself in the foot—don’t do it.

Venue And Participation Mode

Both the orientation and matriculation ceremonies will hold physically at the Mallam Adamu Adamu Twin Lecture Hall, Lafia Campus.

Students enrolled in online postgraduate programmes are equally covered and are expected to participate virtually in both events.

Important Registration Warning

The College emphasized a non-negotiable requirement: all newly admitted postgraduate students must complete their registration before matriculation day. No registration means no participation. Simple rule. Zero exceptions.
