The Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Kwale (FUMHSK), Delta State, has announced the commencement of compulsory medical screening for all newly admitted students of the institution.

The directive was issued in an official statement released by the University Health Centre on Friday, 9 January 2026. According to the notice, the medical screening exercise will run for three weeks, beginning on Monday, 12 January 2026, and closing on Friday, 30 January 2026.

Screening Schedule And Venue
The entire exercise will be conducted within the University Health Centre. Newly admitted students are expected to present themselves at the centre anytime within the approved period for the completion of the screening process.

University authorities made it clear that attendance is compulsory and that the Health Centre will handle all procedures on-site. No alternative venue or extension was indicated in the announcement.

Students Affected
The screening requirement applies strictly to all newly admitted students of FUMHSK, without exception. The university emphasized that participation is mandatory and forms part of the admission documentation process. Admission is not considered fully regularized until a student’s medical screening record is completed and filed.

Screening Fee And Required Documents
The cost of the medical screening has been fixed at ₦30,000 (Thirty Thousand Naira). Students are required to report to the University Health Centre with copies of their admission letters and ensure the screening is completed within the stipulated timeframe.

The instruction from the university is straightforward: failure to comply within the approved period may affect a student’s admission status.
