The management of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI) in Ebonyi State has announced the postponement of its 9th Convocation Ceremony, which was initially scheduled to take place on Friday, 20th February, 2026.

This decision was communicated through an official memo issued by the Office of the Registrar, referenced AEFUNAI/R/005/Vol. XI and dated February 16, 2026. According to the circular signed by the Registrar, T. Ifeanyi Igwe, Esq., the postponement was necessary, and a new date will be announced after due consultation with the University Senate and Council.

The memo notified the entire University Community and the general public of the development, urging all affected persons to comply with the directive. The University management expressed regret over any inconvenience the postponement may cause.

Distribution of the memo included key personnel such as the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Bursar, University Librarian, Provost, College of Medical Sciences, All Deans and Directors, All Heads of Departments, and the Public Relations Officer for circulation.
