The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Dutse, Prof. Ahmad Muhammed Gumel, has given his approval for the appointment of new directors, acting directors, and a deputy director.

This announcement was made in the university's Official Weekly Newsletter, Volume 3, No. 58, dated February 19, 2026. The appointments aim to enhance administrative efficiency and improve service delivery across key directorates of the university.

The newly appointed officials include Dr. Salim Ahmad as Director of Academic Planning & Quality Assurance, Prof. Salihu Ibrahim Ismail as Director of Research & Development, and Dr. Sadiq Ismaila Shina as Director of Sports. Other appointments include Mal. Nura Danbatta as Pioneer Director of the Directorate of Academic Affairs and Mal. Usman Bala Bello as Pioneer Director of Internal Audit.

Additionally, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu has been appointed as Director of the Centre for Social & Economic Research, while Mal. Usman Ibn Musa and Mal. Mohammed Sule Ringim will serve as Acting Directors of the Directorate of Budget and Treasury, respectively. Dr. Ya’u Katanga has been appointed as Deputy Director of Business at the Centre for Entrepreneurial Development.

These appointments are expected to further advance the university's academic planning, research development, financial management, and overall institutional growth.
