The Nigerian Law School, under the Council of Legal Education, has officially released the academic calendar for the 2025/2026 Bar Part II programme. This calendar applies to all campuses, including Abuja, Lagos, Enugu, Kano, Yola, Yenagoa, and Port Harcourt.

The First Term is set to begin with registration, induction, and mock trials from Monday, 2 March to Friday, 13 March 2026. Lectures will commence on Monday, 16 March 2026. Other key events in the First Term include the Director-General’s address on Tuesday, 14 April 2026, and the First Term BOB Dinner from Tuesday, 21 April to Thursday, 23 April 2026. The term will conclude with lectures ending on Thursday, 14 May 2026, which is also the day scheduled for the pre-externship workshop.

The Second Term will feature court externship from Monday, 18 May to Friday, 19 June 2026. Following this, there will be a mid-externship break, and then a chambers externship is scheduled from Monday, 29 June to Friday, 31 July 2026. Students will then have a post-externship vacation from Monday, 3 August to Friday, 7 August 2026.

In the Third Term, portfolio assessment will take place from Monday, 10 August to Friday, 21 August 2026, with lectures resuming from Monday, 31 August to Friday, 9 October 2026. Other activities planned for the Third Term include mock registry practice, mooting exercises, law clinic activities, SRC Law Week, and mock trials. The Third Term BOB Dinner is set for Tuesday, 13 October to Thursday, 15 October 2026, and the BOB Annual Lecture will be held on Thursday, 22 October 2026.

Revision classes are scheduled from Monday, 26 October to Friday, 30 October 2026, in preparation for the Bar Final Examinations, which will take place from Saturday, 31 October to Saturday, 7 November 2026. The post-bar examination activities will continue until Friday, 18 December 2026.

The Law School has noted that the dates for the publication of results and the Call to the Bar ceremonies will be announced at a later date.
