The 2026 JAMB UTME examination is set to begin on Thursday, April 16th. As you prepare for the exam, there are several key points to keep in mind.

JAMB CBT Question Format: You will have two hours to answer 180 questions, with 60 questions for English and 40 for each of the other subjects. Speed and accuracy are crucial. If you have been practicing with the JAMB CBT Mobile App or JAMB CBT Computer Software, you should be well-prepared.

Important Keys to Remember: When using the keyboard, note the following keys: N to move to the next question, P to go back to the previous question, A to select option A, B to select option B, C to select option C, D to select option D, S to submit your exam, R to cancel submit, and Y to confirm submit. These instructions will be provided before the exam, so be sure to read them carefully.

However, some actions may require the use of a mouse or track-pad, such as switching between subjects or using the on-screen calculator. The on-screen calculator will be available for subjects that involve calculations.

It's also important to avoid the idea of getting external help, as this can lead to negative consequences. With the current examination mode and other changes made by JAMB, the possibility of succeeding with external assistance has been significantly reduced. Instead, focus on hard work, discipline, and determination.

Randomized Questions: Note that the questions generated for each candidate are jumbled and appear differently. This means that your questions may be different from those of your neighbor, so it's essential to answer based on your own knowledge.

On the day of the exam, make sure to wake up on time, get to the exam center early, and avoid drinking too much water. Also, ensure that you do not bring any prohibited items to the exam hall. When you arrive at the exam center, verify that your biometric verification is done, sit comfortably, and read the instructions carefully. Start with a subject you're strong in, don't waste time on difficult questions, and answer all questions.
