The Management of Bayero University, Kano has addressed concerns over delayed payment of Departmental Best Students Prizes for the past two academic sessions. Following calls from the university community, the situation is being rectified.
The University has announced that funds for the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 academic sessions have been released and transferred to the Heads of Departments. To ensure efficiency, the prizes will now be disbursed internally by the respective departments.
Heads of Departments are responsible for ensuring prompt and transparent disbursement to all deserving students. Students are urged to liaise directly with their HODs for the immediate collection of their prize funds. Departments are expected to claim subsequent funds from the University as they become due to avoid future backlogs.
