University of Nigeria invites candidates who chose UNN as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME and scored 160 and above for a screening exercise.

Other eligibility criteria include:

• Candidates must have consistent names on their WAEC/NECO results and JAMB.
• Candidates waiting to write November/December 2026 GCE and NECO are not eligible.
• Candidates below 16 years old by September 30, 2026, should not apply.

Online Registration

Eligible candidates must pay an application fee of N2000 and a processing fee of N3300 through the Remita Platform at any commercial bank. The online registration starts on July 15, 2026, and ends at midnight on August 5, 2026. Only candidates who have uploaded their O’level results on JAMB CAPS and the UNN portal by August 5, 2026, will be considered for admission.

Process Flow for Post-UTME Registration

Log on to the University Website: unn.edu.ng Click on the UNN portal. Click Prospective Students. Select Online Application Form for 2026/2027 Admission Screening Exercise. Enter JAMB Registration Number. Generate Invoice. Proceed to the bank for payment or pay using an ATM Card. Return to the Portal. Re-enter JAMB Registration Number. Complete Date of Birth and other blank fields. Enter verified O/Level Subjects and Grades. Re-enter grades correctly. Upload Certificates (ensure sizes are not above 100KB). Upload required documents, including:

• Birth Certificate
• Local Government Identification
• Testimonial
• First School Leaving Certificate
• JAMB Result Slip
• O/Level 1
• O/Level 2 (for double sitting candidates)

Click the NEXT button. Review the Summary Page and check that all details are correct. Check the CONFIRMATION BOX. Click SUBMIT. Print the Acknowledgement Slip.

DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES for 2026/2027 who made UNN their first-choice institution should also register for the screening. Candidates must ensure their A’Level result has been verified by NIPEDS.

Candidates are encouraged to visit the University website regularly for updates on the Screening exercise.
