Edo State University, Iyamho, has officially opened applications for its Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The JUPEB programme is designed to last a minimum of one academic session, spanning two semesters, providing candidates with the opportunity to take examinations in three subjects related to their chosen field of study. Upon successful completion, candidates are awarded a JUPEB Certificate, which enables them to gain direct entry admission into the second-year (200 Level) degree programmes at Edo State University or any other university that recognizes the qualification. Notably, admission into this programme does not require JAMB.

Eligibility & Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission into the JUPEB programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Candidates must possess a minimum of credit passes in five subjects (including English Language & Mathematics)
• The credits must be obtained at a maximum of two sittings
• Exception: For candidates applying to study Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), the five credits must be obtained at one sitting
• Note: Students with Awaiting Results are also eligible to apply
