About 995 students of the Federal Polytechnic Bida will during the 14th combined convocation ceremony of the Federal Polytechnic Bida graduate with distinctions at National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma(HND) levels.

This was disclosed by the Rector of the institution, Dr Abubakar Abdul Dzukogi during a press briefing ahead of the convocation ceremony which comes up this weekend.

At a pre-convocation press briefing in Niger, yesterday, Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr Abubakar Abdul Dzukogi said that 995 out of the 28 ,000 graduates at National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma(HND) levels made distinction in various fields in the eight sessions.

The Rector, Dr Abubakar Abdul Dzukogi condemned the dichotomy that still exists between HND holders and their university counterpart describing it as unnecessary and not appropriate for a Nation's economy.
According to him, in developed economies, the HND graduates drive the economy.
