Federal Government to implement “No Work, No Pay” policy across all Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
The Federal Government has observed with dismay that many Workers’ Unions in Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies are in the habit of embarking on strike actions on the flimsiest of excuses, leading to disruption of services and orderliness in the affected Organizations. It is even more worrisome that, often the issues being canvassed could be amicably resolved through dialogue without resulting to industrial action.
Based on the reasons stated above the Federal Government has brought out some resolutions:
“Where any worker takes part in a strike, he shall not be entitled to any wages or other remuneration for the period of the strike, and any such period shall not count for the purpose of reckoning the period of continuous employment and all rights dependent on continuity of employment shall be prejudiciary affected accordingly”
