Students of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, have taken to the streets to protest a hike in their schools fees.
Students of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo state on Friday staged a peaceful protest in Benin against what they called the arbitrary increase of fees by the management of the institution.
The students who carried signs with inscriptions such as “N165k is not beans,” “Our fees are too high are angry which the state which is supposed to be the sole owner of the institution”
They explained that the fees were increased from the initial N47,000 to N160,000 for some faculties and N200,000 and above for others.
