ASUU May Embark On An Indefinite Strike Soon - ASUU Chairman

As the one week warning strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) comes to an end today there are indications that the union may embark on indefinite strike if their demands remain unmet.

This was disclosed by the Chairman of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka Chapter of the Academic staff Union of Universities, Dr. Ifeanyi Abada.

According to him, the National Executive Committee made efforts to resolve this issue with the government but government remained unyielding.

“ASUU was left with no option than to proceed on the one-week warning strike; failure to meet our demands, we will go on an indefinite strike" He stated
