The Summary of the Current Situation in University of Lagos "School of First Choice, the Nation's pride"
During the last hours of yesterday, a disastrous incidence occurred in Great Unilag.

A First Class 300l student of Accounting named Oluchi Anekwe was electrocuted in New Hall by a High Tensioned wire which fell on her on her way out. When rushed to the Medical center, she was transferred to Luth, on her way there She died.

Prior to this unfortunately Incidence, according to student they said that the residence of Shodeinde Hostel have sent Letters to the School Authority regarding the displaced wire but no urgent responds was given in regard to their complain.

The University Community waited for an intervention of the Vc but nothing came forth. This Morning the Ulsu President in person of Abiodun Martins proclaimed Suspension of all Academic and Social Activities in the School and a peaceful protest followed there after which let to the closing of the University Two Main Gates, the Main Library and Education Library. The Lagos International Education Conference (LIEC) which was going on in the Education Glass Hall that had the Calibers of Elite Guests was disrupted and other Activities were cancelled.
Some Lecturers decided to go against the rule and decided to set Test for student but they were sent out of the class out of the class by student.

Right now, the University Community is in a Sad state, student are not willing to give up and are resolute that the VC must come out "No VC, No Surrender". We all hope and pray that this current Situation doesn't get out of hand.

The University of Lagos Students' Union regrets to announce the passing away of one of us, our very own OLUCHI ANEKWE, a 300 level student of the department of Accounting.

Oluchi, till her death, was a first class student, and a very active student in class.

Our condolence goes to her families, relatives and friends. We pray that God will grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.

The event that led to her death is in its entirety avoidable. We hereby call on all concerned authorities to swing into action so as to prevent future occurrence.

In this regard, we hereby declare that all academic and social activities of the school and of the students' are hereby suspended for today and no unnecessary sound around the campus in honour of the lost soul.

The entire University of Lagos Students loved her, but God in His wisdom saw fit to embrace her.

We shall surely miss her. Oluchi, GOODMORNING.
