Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic (AKWAIBOMPOLY) one-year Preliminary Studies (Pre-ND) Programme.

Akwa Ibom Poly Pre-ND Courses & Requirements.

I.            PRE-NATIONAL DIPLOMA (SCIENCE)

On successful completion of this programme, candidates will qualify for admission into National Dipoma Programme in the following courses on meeting JAMB national cut-off point

• Computer Science
• Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology
• Statistics
• Science Laboratory Technology
• Civil Engineering Technology
• Architectural Technology
• Urban and Regional Planning
• Building Technology
• Estate Management
• Quantity Surveying
• Survey and Geo-Informatics

Requirements: Five ordinary passes in English Language, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and one of Statistics, Geography, Economics, Commerce, Biology/Agricultural Science in not more than two sittings.

II.            PRE-NATIONAL DIPLOMA (BUSINESS)

On successful completion of this programme candidates will qualify for Admission into the National Diploma Programme in the following  courses on meeting JAMB National Cut-off Point:

• Accountancy
• Business Studies
• Office Technology & Management (formerly Secretarial Studies)
• Mass Communication

Requirements: Five ordinary level passes in Maths and English Language plus any two of the following : Economics, Business Methods, Principles of Accounts, literature in English, Commerce, History, Statistics, Geography, Government and one Science subject in not more than two sittings.
