The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has released the Post UTME/Direct Entry Screening Form for the 2024/2025 academic session.
To qualify for the Post UTME screening, you must have participated in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and achieved a minimum score of 140. However, certain courses may require higher scores, which you can check on the university's website.
For Direct Entry applicants, eligibility requires a Lower Credit/Merit in Diploma, 9 points in NCE/IJMB, or a Second Class Lower Division from a recognized institution.
Even if UNIMAID was not your first choice during UTME registration, you are still eligible to apply for the screening.
The application process starts on Monday, 19th August 2024, and ends on Sunday, 22nd September 2024.
Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable fee of NGN 2,000, excluding bank charges.
Initial Login: Access the UNIMAID Post UTME portal and use your UTME Number as both your username and password. Be mindful of case sensitivity.
Contact Information: Enter a valid email address and phone number, then proceed to the payment section.
Payment Instructions: You will be redirected to the REMITA platform, where you can choose to pay via card or bank deposit.
Payment Verification: After making the payment, return to the portal's dashboard to verify it.
Personal Information: Your name and chosen course will be displayed. Complete your biodata and next of kin details.
Academic Qualifications: Provide your O’Level results, specifying the number of sittings (up to two). Direct Entry applicants should also include details of their higher education certificates.
Document Upload: Scan and upload all required documents as per the instructions provided.
Review and Submit: Double-check all your entries for accuracy. Once satisfied, click the ‘Submit’ button.
Completion: A confirmation message will appear, indicating that your application has been successfully submitted.
There will be no need for physical screening or aptitude tests once your application is submitted.
Your admission status will be updated on the CAPS portal.
