The Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences (FUTA-ES), Iyin Ekiti, has announced the commencement of admission into its Pre-Degree Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The announcement was made by the Directorate of Pre-Degree Programme (DPP), which explained that the programme is structured to prepare candidates for entry into various undergraduate degree programmes offered by the University. The pre-degree pathway cuts across four broad academic fields: Natural and Applied Sciences; Engineering and Technology; Computing and Information Technology; and Environmental Sciences.

Available Programme Options

Natural and Applied Sciences
Courses available include Animal and Environmental Biology, Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Forensic Science, Geology, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, Science Laboratory Technology, and Statistics.

Engineering and Technology
Applicants may choose from Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering, and Computer Engineering.

Computing and Information Technology
Offered programmes include Software Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Data Science, Information and Communication Technology, Artificial Intelligence, as well as Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing.

Environmental Sciences
Available options are Architecture, Building Technology, Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology, Environmental Science and Management, Estate Management, Forestry and Wildlife Management, Industrial Design, Quantity Surveying, Surveying and Geoinformatics, and Urban and Regional Planning.

Eligibility Requirements

Prospective candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in SSCE, NECO, or NABTEB examinations obtained at not more than two sittings. The required subjects include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and one other relevant subject.

Application Procedure

Interested and eligible candidates are to visit the University’s website at www.futes.edu.ng to purchase and complete the online application form. Applicants are required to provide accurate personal details, make payment online, and upload all necessary documents for admission processing.

The application form costs ₦15,000, payable via the Remita platform. Candidates are advised to regularly check the pre-degree portal for updates on their admission status after submission.
