Babcock University has issued a firm campus-wide directive to all students, male and female, as preparations begin for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic session in January 2026.

The message from management is blunt: the rules are no longer optional.

From the moment students return, regulations covering haircuts, hairstyles, and dressing will be enforced strictly across every campus. No leniency. No exceptions. Everything will be judged strictly by what is written in the Student Handbook—nothing more, nothing less.

Hair-Passes Are Officially Dead

Let’s be crystal clear: hair-passes are abolished.

Every single haircut or appearance exemption previously issued has been cancelled. They no longer carry any weight. Possessing one, presenting one, or claiming one now counts as a violation of school rules.

Students who still have any form of hair-pass have been instructed to stop using them immediately. Anyone caught relying on such documents will be queried and may face disciplinary action.

The university emphasized that hair-passes were never part of official Babcock policy. Effective immediately, their use or circulation is completely banned.

Hairstyles That Will Not Be Tolerated

For Male Students
    •    Bushy or unkempt hair
    •    Beards of any kind
    •    Dreadlocks

For Female Students
    •    Hairstyles considered extreme or indecent
    •    Any style that contradicts approved guidelines in the Student Handbook

The rule is simple and ruthless in its clarity: if it’s not approved in the handbook, it doesn’t belong on campus.

Dressing Rules Students Must Respect

During official academic hours, the following are strictly prohibited:
    •    Lycra or tight, body-hugging outfits
    •    Sleeveless tops or dresses
    •    Sagging trousers, baggy styles, boot-cut trousers, or excessively long pants
    •    Scarves paired with corporate or academic wear during restricted hours
    •    Bùbù and Dànsíkí outfits during restricted hours
    •    Joggers, sportswear, or casual walk-out clothes during restricted hours

Some of these items may only be worn outside academic hours, exactly as outlined in the Student Handbook. During lectures, official duties, or academic engagements, they are unacceptable—full stop.

What Students Must Do Now

Students are expected to resume for second semester fully compliant. Management has made it clear that excuses such as “I didn’t know” or “I’m still adjusting” will not be entertained.

Enforcement teams have been directed to act decisively.

Babcock University reaffirmed that discipline and character formation remain core values of campus life. Students are expected to live that standard daily.
