Southern Delta University has announced the distribution of academic gowns for its maiden convocation ceremony, scheduled to take place on Saturday, 28 February, 2026, at the Events/Convocation Centre, starting at 9:00 a.m.

To prepare for the ceremony, graduands can collect their academic gowns from departmental officers at both the Main campus and Orerokpe Campus from Monday, 23 February, 2026, to Thursday, 26 February, 2026. The gowns must be returned in good condition to the same officer by Friday, 6 March, 2026.

To be eligible to collect their academic gowns, all graduands must provide their original Statement of Result and a copy of their duly certified clearance form. Failure to return the gowns within the stipulated period will result in a fine of N4,000.00 per day. Additionally, graduands who fail to return their gowns will be liable for a payment of N50,000.00.

The university has provided this information to guide all graduands as they prepare for the maiden convocation ceremony.
