The University of Benin has announced a mandatory sensitization workshop on the Nigerian Education Loan Fund. To ensure maximum student participation, the Vice-Chancellor has approved a temporary suspension of academic activities.

To allow students to attend this session without academic conflict, the University has declared Thursday, 12th March, 2026, a lecture-free period between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. The Registrar, A. A. Bobola, noted that attendance is mandatory for all Deans, Directors, and Heads of Departments to guide students at the faculty and departmental levels. Each department and faculty is requested to mobilize a minimum of fifty students to ensure a balanced representation during the workshop.
