Students of the University of Uyo who are beneficiaries of the Federal Government’s NELFUND Student Loan Scheme have started receiving refunds of their previously paid school fees.
This development was made known through an official press release by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations of the Students’ Union, University of Uyo. According to the statement, the refund process has officially commenced, with some eligible students already receiving payments into their bank accounts.
The refund is for students who had paid their tuition fees before being successfully captured as beneficiaries of the NELFUND Student Loan Scheme. Following their inclusion in the program, arrangements were made for the reimbursement of the fees they had already paid.
While some beneficiaries have already received their refunds, the Students’ Union clarified that the disbursement is being carried out in batches. Students who are yet to receive their payments have been advised to remain calm and continue checking their bank accounts as the process is still ongoing.
The union also encouraged affected students to direct any inquiries or requests for clarification to the appropriate university offices responsible for handling the refund process. The Students’ Union reiterated its commitment to keeping students informed about important developments regarding financial support initiatives and other student-related matters within the university.
