The Federal University of Lafia has announced its upcoming 44th Inaugural Lecture Series, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. The event, which is open to the general public, will be hosted physically at the MIS Multipurpose Hall, Permanent Site Campus, Federal University of Lafia, and also streamed virtually via Google Meet.
The lecture will delve into profound historical and literary intersections, with the topic: "Egyptology, Egyptomania and Khemetology: Literature and the Black African Literary Masters of Homer, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Etc."
The academic gathering will feature top-tier administration and scholarship from the university, with Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia, serving as the Chairman. Prof. Mallam Al-Bishak, a Professor of African Literature with a Specialty in Literary Egyptology, will be the presenter.
