University of Ibadan Direct Entry Registration

The University of Ibadan has announced that its admission portal will be open for Direct Entry registration from Monday, 3 August 2026, to Sunday, 16 August 2026.

Candidates should note that there will be no extension of the registration period, which is from 03/08/2026 to 16/08/2026.

1. Payment Instructions for Direct Entry Candidates

To begin the registration process, candidates are required to log in using their Jamb Registration Number as their username and their surname as their initial password.

A screening fee of ₦2,000 and a portal access fee of ₦3,000 should be paid through the admission portal in favour of the University of Ibadan.

• Card: Credit/Debit Card Payment using an ATM card
• Bank Transfer: Transfer funds directly from a bank account using a preferred banking channel

Candidates are expected to print the payment success receipt after making the payment.

It is essential for candidates to provide valid and active email addresses and phone numbers, as the University will not be responsible for any failure to receive information due to invalid email addresses or non-functional phone numbers.

3. General Information

Candidates seeking admission to programmes at the College of Medicine and Faculty of Pharmacy must possess five credits at one sitting in relevant O/level subjects. For other programmes, candidates presenting two O/level results must have at least six credits in relevant subjects.

The University of Ibadan accepts WAEC, NECO, Cambridge Advance Level, NCE, OND, HND, and Degree certificates from recognized institutions for Direct Entry admission. However, it does not accept IJMB and JUPEP.

Candidates can view the list of matriculating subjects accepted by the University and the UTME combination and O/level requirements for their courses of choice.

In addition, Direct Entry candidates are required to submit their credentials via email to ugadmissions@stu.ui.edu.ng. Candidates are strongly advised to adhere strictly to the guidelines stipulated above for successful completion of the online submissions.
