Bridge Scholarship Foundation: Key Update 2026

The Bridge Scholarship Foundation has begun accepting applications for the 2026 award cycle. This fully funded opportunity is aimed at undergraduate students enrolled in public universities across Nigeria. The competitive program is designed to identify students with high potential who are facing significant financial barriers, providing them with comprehensive support from their current year of study through to graduation and beyond.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Bridge Scholarship Award in 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be fully enrolled in a Nigerian public university.
  • Be in Year 1 to the penultimate year of their degree program.
  • Demonstrate a critical financial need that hinders their ability to continue their studies.
  • Show a strong commitment to completing their Bachelor’s degree.
  • Maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0 or 3.5/5.0, showcasing their academic prowess.
  • Display integrity and perseverance in the face of personal or academic challenges.
  • Actively participate in co-curricular activities and community service, highlighting their well-rounded character.

Required Documents

As part of their application, candidates are expected to submit the following documents:

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV), detailing their academic and extracurricular achievements.
  • Motivation Letter, outlining their reasons for applying and their future aspirations.
  • WAEC/NECO and JAMB Results, serving as proof of their academic performance.
  • Admission Letter, confirming their enrollment in a public university.
  • Academic Record, for returning students, to highlight their progress.
  • Three Recommendation Letters, from academic or professional mentors.
  • Valid Photo Identification, such as NIN or Voter’s Card, for verification purposes.

It is crucial for applicants to ensure that their applications are complete. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Therefore, candidates are advised to carefully review and verify that all required documents are correctly uploaded before submitting their application.
