The Information Technology and Resource Centre (ITRC) at Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU) in Anyigba wishes to make it unequivocally clear that the activities outlined in the widely circulated open letter – which allege that certain persons are collecting ₦50,000, ₦55,000 or other unapproved sums from prospective students for registration, admission processing and related services – are not sanctioned ITRC registration procedures. Anyone who engages in such conduct should not be assumed to represent the ITRC unless proper verification can be provided.
The ITRC emphatically distances itself from any illicit money‑taking, bogus registration schemes, deceptive admission assurances, or unofficial payment requests that are made under the guise of the University or the Centre. Applicants, together with their parents and guardians, are strongly urged to exercise utmost vigilance and to ensure that all admission and registration matters are processed through the University’s officially recognised channels.
The ITRC advises every applicant to utilise the recognised ITRC facilities and the University’s authorised registration avenues for a safe, reliable and properly guided enrollment process, wherever applicable.
Applicants are encouraged to:
Please keep in mind: being a member of a WhatsApp group, possessing a university‑branded identity, or knowing someone who claims to be a university official does not automatically grant that person the authority to collect money on behalf of PAAU or the ITRC.
The ITRC acknowledges the critical need to safeguard the reputation of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, and to ensure that prospective students are not misled or taken advantage of during the admission and registration phases.
We also call on students, parents and guardians to disseminate verified information rather than rumours, and to forward any suspected scams together with supporting evidence – such as payment receipts, account details, telephone numbers and screenshots of dubious messages – to the relevant University offices.
The overarching aim is to shield innocent applicants, promote transparency and uphold the distinguished name of our institution.
SAFE REGISTRATION BEGINS WITH VERIFICATION. DO NOT PAY ANYONE WITHOUT OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION.
