Federal Government has declared October 1 as public holiday to mark Nigeria’s 55th Independence Anniversary.
Federal Government, Monday, declared Thursday, 1 October 2015 as public holiday to mark Nigeria’s 55th Independence Anniversary.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Director of Press, Ministry of Interior, Yusuf Isiaka, in Abuja on Monday.
The statement stated that the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Abubakar Magaji, declared the holiday on behalf of the Federal Government.
The Permanent Secretary congratulated all Nigerians on the occasion, and urged them to build a more united and virile nation that would be the pride of all citizens.
