The Ebonyi State University (EBSU) has released the Post UTME/Direct Entry screening form for the 2024/2025 academic session. This announcement signals the start of the admission process for prospective students aiming to enroll in EBSU's undergraduate programs. Below is a comprehensive guide on eligibility, application procedures, and key details for the Post UTME/Direct Entry screening.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the EBSU Post UTME/Direct Entry screening, candidates must meet these requirements:

  • UTME Score: Applicants must have scored 140 or above in the 2024/2025 UTME.
  • First Choice Institution: EBSU should be selected as the first choice in the UTME. Those who initially chose another institution but wish to change to EBSU are also eligible.
  • O’level Results: Candidates must have at least five credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, from NABTEB, WAEC (May/June), or NECO (June/July) 2024. Those awaiting results can also apply.
  • Consistency in Name: Ensure all registration documents have consistent names to avoid disqualification.

Important Points to Note

  • No Physical Screening: Candidates do not need to appear physically for the screening.
  • Admission Notification: Applicants will be informed of their admission status through the EBSU portal.
  • O’level Results Upload: Candidates must upload their O’level results on both the EBSU portal and the JAMB portal to be considered for admission.
  • Acceptance of Admission: Admission offers must be accepted on the CAPS or JAMB portal within two weeks. Failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of the offer.

Application and Payment Procedure

Eligible candidates should follow these steps to apply:

  1. Visit the EBSU Portal: Go to the EBSU portal.
  2. Select Application Form: Click on “ONLINE APPLICATION FORMS” and choose either the Post-UTME or Direct Entry application form.
  3. Enter JAMB Registration Number: Enter your JAMB registration number correctly and click “LOGIN” to generate your payment invoice.
  4. Make Payment: Pay the processing fee of N2,000.00 at any bank or online using a debit card.
  5. Complete the Form: After payment, return to the portal to fill out the application form. Ensure you use a valid email address and phone number.

  • Application Start Date: 23rd July 2024
  • Application End Date: 23rd August 2024
