Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, has announced Thursday, January 8, 2026, as the date for its matriculation ceremony for students admitted into the 2025/2026 academic session.
The ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. at the Otunba Gbenga Daniel Hall, Main Campus, Ago-Iwoye, and will be presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ayodeji Agboola, alongside other principal officers of the university. Provosts and Deans of Colleges and Faculties will formally present the newly admitted students for the compulsory oath-taking.
Ahead of the matriculation, the university has scheduled an orientation programme for fresh students on Monday, January 6, and Tuesday, January 7, 2026. The programme will commence daily at 8:00 a.m. at the Otunba Gbenga Daniel Hall, with the Vice-Chancellor expected to formally declare the sessions open in the presence of members of the university management.
Each matriculating student is required to pay a non-refundable matriculation fee of ₦2,500 via the official OOU payment portal at payments.oouagoiwoye.edu.ng. Upon payment, students are to print their receipts and present them at their respective College or Faculty Offices to collect their academic gowns for the ceremony.
The university has emphasized that attendance at both the orientation programme and the matriculation ceremony is mandatory for all newly admitted students. Freshers are also advised to be fully robed in their matriculation gowns and seated at the venue by 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
