The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), through its Consultancy Services Centre and the Diploma and Certificate Programmes Unit, has officially commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its diploma programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The programmes run for a duration of two years. Eligible candidates who satisfy the prescribed entry requirements are invited to apply. The University has also provided full details on the application process, cost of the form, and submission deadline.

5. Diploma in Computer Science (DCS)
6. Diploma in Information Technology (DIT)
7. Diploma in Biology Education (DSB)
8. Diploma in Chemistry Education (DSC)
9. Diploma in Physics Education (DSP)
10. Diploma in Mathematics Education (DSM)
11. Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology (DSLT)
12. Diploma in Banking and Finance (DBF)

General Admission Requirements
UNIMAID outlined the following general requirements for admission:
Option A: WASC / SSCE / NECO / NABTEB / GCE
Applicants must possess credit passes in at least four (4) academic subjects obtained at not more than two sittings. A minimum of two of the subjects must be relevant to the chosen course of study.
Option B: Teachers Grade II Certificate
Applicants must have credit or merit passes in four (4) academic subjects, obtained at not more than two sittings. At least two subjects must be relevant to the intended programme.

Application Procedure And Cost
Application forms are obtainable from the Diploma and Certificate Programmes Unit, Science Complex, University of Maiduguri, P.M.B. 1069, Maiduguri.
To obtain the form, candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Four Thousand Naira (₦4,000.00) through the UNIMAID payment portal into the University’s consultancy account. Proof of payment should be retained, as it may be required during form collection.

Submission Of Completed Forms
Completed application forms must be submitted to the Diploma and Certificate Programmes Unit, University of Maiduguri.

Closing Date
The University stated that all completed application forms must be returned on or before Thursday, 27 February 2026. Late submissions will not be entertained.
Prospective applicants are advised to complete their application process early to avoid last-minute congestion and delays.
