The Lagos State University Students' Union (LASUSU) leadership, led by Union President Comr. Adebayo Korede Peter, met with the University Management to discuss the NELFUND school fees payments and upkeep issues.
During the meeting, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor confirmed that the University has received funds for nearly 7,500 students who benefitted from the NELFUND scheme. The Union was assured that administrative processes are underway, and refunds will be credited to the affected students' accounts soon.
Students are advised to remain calm and patient while the University concludes the necessary procedures for disbursement. Additionally, students do not need to write any letter regarding the refund process. However, those who wish to verify their names or status can visit the Office of the Deputy Director, Directorate of Special Intervention at the 3rd floor senate building for clarification.
LASUSU remains committed to engaging with the University management to ensure transparency and timely resolution of matters affecting student welfare. The student community will be updated as soon as more information becomes available, and students are advised to avoid unverified information from unreliable sources.
