The Federated Organisation of Sokoto State Students Association (FOSOSSA) National Body has issued an important notice to students of Shehu Shagari University of Education, Sokoto. As of April 13, 2026, the organisation wishes to address a critical matter. It has come to their attention that certain individuals are requesting students to pay ₦500 for a SOSSA receipt.
The FOSOSSA National Body clearly states that there is no officially recognised SOSSA body in Shehu Shagari University of Education, Sokoto. Consequently, no student is required to pay ₦500 or purchase any SOSSA receipt. Students are advised to only obtain and submit the Sokoto State Scholarship Form as directed by the Sokoto State Scholarship Board for the verification exercise scheduled for Monday, April 13, 2026.
The organisation warns that any person or group attempting to collect such money is engaging in unauthorised and fraudulent activity and will face serious consequences. All students are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately. This notice is issued in the interest of all Sokoto State students.
The notice is signed by Comrade Muhsin H. Sulaiman, FOSOSSA National Secretary General, on behalf of Comrade Yusuf Sabiu, Global President of FOSOSSA.
