The Students Union Government (SUG) has released a critical notification regarding student safety and movement during late hours.
The SUG has reached a peaceful understanding with the Yalwawa Division, allowing students to walk through the area during late hours. This decision was made after careful consideration of students' concerns, safety, and the need for a conducive environment during this academic period.
While enjoying this privilege, students must remain vigilant at all times. They should avoid unnecessary risks, move in groups where possible, and report any suspicious activities to the authorities without delay.
The SUG advises students to remain law-abiding and respect rules, authorities, and the community. Any act of misconduct or violation of this understanding may lead to a reversal of this decision.
The SUG commends the Nigerian Police, especially the officers of the Yalwawa Division, for their support and commitment to ensuring student safety and well-being.
Students are urged to act responsibly, stay safe, and focus on their examinations.
