Professor Is-haq Oloyede has officially stepped down as Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), bringing an end to his 10-year tenure at the examination body.
He has been succeeded by Professor Segun Aina, who was appointed by President Bola Tinubu. As a Professor of Computer Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Aina boasts expertise in digital infrastructure, examination systems, and institutional reforms.
According to the Presidency, Professor Aina has amassed over 15 years of experience providing counsel to governments on digital transformation. His portfolio includes collaborations with prominent examination bodies such as NECO and NABTEB, where he focused on ICT systems and examination integrity. Notably, he becomes the youngest individual to assume the role of Registrar in JAMB's history.
President Bola Tinubu has expressed optimism that Professor Aina will build upon the reforms and achievements realized during Oloyede's leadership, further fortifying JAMB's operational framework.
