Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic management has designated a week for students' social and cultural activities.

The Office of the Dean of Students' Affairs issued a notice on July 27, 2026, stating that the approved period for these activities will run from Monday, August 3, 2026, to Saturday, August 8, 2026. This decision aims to ensure that social events are properly coordinated without disrupting academic activities.

The management has directed all unions planning to organize events during the approved week to submit applications for approval to the Rector through the Dean of Students' Affairs.

• Departmental and school unions are expected to channel their applications through their respective Deans
• Social and cultural associations should apply through their patrons

The notice also stated that applications must include details of planned activities and the names of invited guests, especially where visitors from outside the polytechnic will attend.

• All applications are to be submitted to the Office of the Dean of Students' Affairs between Monday, July 27, and Wednesday, July 29, 2026

Students were urged to cooperate with the arrangement, as the initiative is intended to harmonize academic and extracurricular activities across the institution. The management emphasized that academic programmes should not be interrupted by social events and called on all students' associations to comply with the directive.
