Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare (FUHSA) has outlined the necessary steps and associated costs for students looking to switch courses within the university or transfer from another institution.
The Office of the Registrar issued a circular on August 10, 2026, detailing the approved procedures and fees, following the University Senate's 42nd meeting on the same day.
To initiate the process, interested students must visit the application portal at https://applicant.safapply.com/fuhsa, fill out the relevant form, and submit it along with the required documents. A minimum of five O'Level credits, including Mathematics and English, is mandatory for all applicants.
The transfer's success depends on the availability of vacancies. Additionally, applicants must provide their academic transcripts, obtain the necessary clearances from their current department, faculty, and university, and secure acceptance from the department they wish to join, as well as from the relevant authorities.
For academic requirements, students seeking to transfer into the MBBS and BDS programs must have a minimum CGPA of 4.01, while those applying for Nursing Sciences and other programs require a minimum CGPA of 3.50.
FUHSA also stated that some applicants may need to take prerequisite courses from the receiving department, if applicable. Furthermore, candidates must regularize their transfer with JAMB and complete an indemnity form.
It is worth noting that a student can only be transferred once.
The announcement is part of FUHSA's recent official updates.
