The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has begun the collection of academic gowns, hoods and caps for postgraduate candidates slated to attend the 31st and 32nd Combined Convocation scheduled for 2‑7 November 2026.

A notice issued by the Postgraduate School through the Office of the Secretary on Thursday, 15 October 2026, confirms that the regalia are now ready for pick‑up by graduates who have settled the required convocation fees.

To receive the items, graduates must present:

• the original payment receipt
• a photocopy of a valid identification document, either their student ID card or National Identification Number (NIN)

The university also warns graduates not to hand over money to any person claiming to collect the gown, hood and cap on their behalf, stressing that collection is strictly personal and no proxy is permitted.

Distribution will be conducted on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

Graduates are therefore urged to fulfil the stated requirements and make appropriate arrangements to collect their academic attire promptly.
