The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced the release of the results for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Out of the 1,955,069 candidates who participated in this year’s UTME, over 1.5 million scored below the 200 mark.

This information was shared by JAMB on Monday through a statistical summary of the 2025 UTME performance data.

According to the breakdown, only 420,415 candidates managed to achieve scores above 200 in the 2025 examination cycle.

The data further revealed that fewer than 1% of candidates attained scores above 300, while 75% of test-takers fell below the 200 threshold.

JAMB also reported that 2,157 candidates from the 2025 UTME are currently being investigated for suspected involvement in examination malpractice.

In addition, the board disclosed that of the 40,247 underage candidates allowed to take the exam under the exceptional ability category, just 467 reached the defined benchmark—representing only 1.16% of that subset.

“Among the released results, a total of 40,247 underage candidates were permitted to take part in the UTME to showcase exceptional academic aptitude.

However, only 467 of them (1.16%) achieved scores that qualify under the exceptional ability criteria, with their evaluation in the remaining three stages still in progress,” the board added.

Below is a comprehensive step-by-step guide to checking your UTME result.

Option 1: How to Check Your UTME Result Online via JAMB eFacility Portal

1. Access the JAMB eFacility Website
   Open your browser and go to: https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/login

2. Sign in Using Your Details
   Log in with the email and password you used during UTME registration.

3. Select ‘Check UTME Results’
   Once logged in, click on the “Check UTME Results” option from your dashboard.

4. View Your UTME Scores
   Your subject-by-subject UTME results for 2025 will appear on the screen.

Option 2: How to Check Your UTME Result via SMS

1. Launch Your SMS App
   On your mobile phone, open the default text messaging application.

2. Draft a New SMS
   Type “RESULT” (in capital letters), followed by a space, then your JAMB Registration Number.
   Example: RESULT 12345678AB

3. Send the Message to 55019 or 66019
   Send your message to either of JAMB’s official result-checking shortcodes.

4. Receive Your Result by Text
   You will receive a response via SMS showing your scores in each UTME subject.

5. Note: Service Fee Applies
   This method attracts a ₦50 fee, which will be deducted from your mobile airtime balance.
