The management of Jigawa State Polytechnic, Dutse, has officially released detailed guidelines and a schedule of registration fees for the 2025/2026 academic session, specifically for newly admitted students in the Morning Programmes. All new students are required to follow the registration steps strictly to complete their admission process.
The registration process begins with new students logging into the admission dashboard to pay an acceptance fee of ₦5,000 and print their provisional admission letter. Following this, students are to proceed to the Academic Division with their original credentials and evidence of payment for the purpose of screening and clearance.
After clearance, students will visit the ICT Directorate to obtain login details necessary for generating a Remita schedule for their registration fees. It is possible to make payments via any bank or online payment gateway. However, it's worth noting that female indigene students of Jigawa State have a reduced fee of ₦6,000, which covers FlexiSAF service fee, MIS charges, SUG dues, and medical service (TISHIP).
The next steps involve logging into the Students’ Records Management System (SRMS) to verify payment, register courses, and print the Course Registration Form, Biodata Form, and Medical Form. Specifically, ND students are directed to collect their JAMB admission letters from the ICT Directorate. Other mandatory steps include documentation at the Students’ Affairs Division, undergoing a medical examination at the Polytechnic Clinic, and signing/stamping of documents at the Bursary, Department, and Students’ Affairs units, before final documentation at the department.
The institution has also provided a comprehensive breakdown of registration fees for various programs, including Higher National Diploma (HND), National Diploma (ND), and National Certificate in Education (NCE), for both new and returning students, as well as for Arts & Social Sciences and Sciences & Engineering programmes. The total payable fees vary significantly based on the programme and indigene status, with non-indigene students paying higher amounts than indigenes.
A special notice has been issued for students enrolled in health-related programmes, reminding them that, in addition to school fees, they must also register with relevant professional councils during their studies. The fees for this purpose range from ₦38,000 to ₦76,500, depending on the programme, to enable participation in professional examinations and licensing.
The Registrar has urged all students to comply strictly with the guidelines to avoid any delays or forfeiture of admission. It is advised that students complete their registration within the approved timeframe and keep all payment receipts and documents safe for future reference.
