Application forms for admission into Kogi State Polytechnic's regular HND and Part-time Programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session are now on sale.
The Polytechnic offers various courses across its schools, including the School of Applied Sciences, School of Art Design and Printing, School of Engineering Technology, School of Environmental Technology, and School of Management Studies.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: For the School of Applied Sciences, candidates must possess a National Diploma in relevant fields with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA) of 2.50 and five credits O/Level at not more than two sittings. English Language, Mathematics, and other relevant subjects are compulsory at the credit level.
In the School of Art Design and Printing, candidates for the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Industrial Design and Fine Arts must possess a National Diploma in Fine Arts and must have a minimum of lower credit (CGPA) of 2.50 and five credits O/Level at not more than two sittings.
For the School of Engineering Technology, candidates must possess a National Diploma in relevant fields with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA) of 2.50 and five credits O/Level at not more than two sittings. English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are compulsory.
In the School of Environmental Technology, candidates for the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Urban and Regional Planning, Architectural Technology, Building Technology, and Surveying and Geoinformatics must possess a National Diploma in relevant fields with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA) of 2.50 and five credits O/Level at not more than two sittings.
The School of Management Studies offers Higher National Diploma in Accountancy, Business Administration and Management, Library and Information Science, Office Technology and Management, and Public Administration. Candidates must possess a National Diploma in relevant fields with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA) of 2.50 and five credits O/Level at not more than two sittings.
METHOD OF APPLICATION: Application forms can be accessed through the school portal at https://portal.kogistatepolytechnic.edu.ng. Qualified candidates are advised to generate two different RRR numbers for the admission form and the screening fee through the school portal and proceed to make payment as follows: Admission Form Fee: N10,000.00, Screening Fee: N10,000.00.
Candidates must process their transcripts before admission. The transcript should be mailed directly to the Registrar, Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja. Submission of hard copies of credentials at the Polytechnic Admission office must be done on or before the closing date of the form. The closing date for the submission of completed forms is six weeks from the date of this advertisement.
APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO PART-TIME PROGRAMMES FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION: Study centers are available in Anyigba, Kabba, Okene, and Lokoja. Programs offered include Accountancy, Business Administration, Computer Science, Public Administration, and Office Technology and Management.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: For Part-time programs, candidates must possess five credits O/L at not more than two sittings, including English Language, mathematics, and other relevant subjects. Candidates must process their transcripts before admission and indicate their preferred study center.
