The Olabisi Onabanjo University Transport Committee remains committed to serving and improving the welfare of students. To address current transportation challenges within the school, the committee is working towards sustainable solutions to reduce bus scarcity and enhance movement for all students.
The Makopolo Bus has resumed operations, helping to ease the pressure on the transport system. Following discussions with transporters regarding the rising cost of fuel and operational expenses, a temporary adjustment to fares has been made.
All transport fares have been temporarily adjusted by an additional ₦50 across all routes and terminals. The updated fares are as follows: School Park to Chips, Ago Garage, Pepsi: ₦400 School Park to Konigba, Mini Campus: ₦400 School Park to Olopomerin, Itamerin: ₦500 School Park to Mariam, Oru: ₦500 This fare adjustment is temporary, with an agreement in place to review and reverse the rates once fuel prices reduce to ₦1000.
To further improve availability, additional vehicles are being arranged for phased deployment. Students are advised to arrive early at designated boarding points to ensure timely access to buses. The committee acknowledges the inconvenience this may cause and assures students that every decision is taken in the best interest of the student community.
