The National Universities Commission has granted full accreditation status to six undergraduate programmes of Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa. This decision is in line with the Education Act CAP E3, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004, which empowers the NUC to set Minimum Academic Standards and accredit academic programmes in Nigerian universities.
The approval, conveyed in a letter signed by the Director of Accreditation, Engineer Abraham Chundusu, and dated 4th April 2026, includes B. Agriculture with specializations in Crop Science, Soil and Land Management, Animal Science, and Agricultural Economics and Extension in the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resource Management. This programme gained a five-year full NUC accreditation status.
In the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, B.Sc. Cyber Security, B.Sc. Information Technology, and B.Sc. Software Engineering also received full accreditation status. The Faculty of Education's B.A. (Ed.) History programme and the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences' B.Sc. Political Science programme were also fully accredited.
According to the Director of Academic Planning, Dr. Abdullahi Haruna Birniwa, all 36 academic programmes in the University are now fully accredited, reflecting the institution's commitment to academic excellence. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Yakasai, described the achievement as a milestone that indicates the University's hard work towards its mission and vision of ensuring quality education for academic excellence.
The accreditation process was conducted by the NUC between October and November 2025.
