Candidates of Lagos State Origin who chose Lagos State University of Education as their first choice in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and scored a minimum of 185 are invited to participate in the Online Registration for Independent Indigeneship Verification Exercise. This exercise is for the 2026/2027 Admission Exercise and will commence on Monday, 18th May, 2026, and close on Sunday, 14th June, 2026.

The Verification Interview will take place over a period of four weeks, starting from Monday, 1st June, 2026, to Thursday, 25th June, 2026. To participate in the verification exercise, candidates are required to provide the following documents: Indigeneship Form, Payments Receipt, Candidate's Birth Certificate (original and photocopy), Father's Birth Certificate (original and photocopy), Letter from Oba, Letter from Chairman, Local Government Area, and Landed Property Documents.

It is essential to note that the Independent Indigeneship Verification Exercise does not guarantee admission into the Lagos State University of Education. The online registration portal will be open from Monday, 18th May, 2026, to Sunday, 14th June, 2026. The screening exercise will take place over four weeks, with specific dates allocated for each week.

Candidates are to make payment to the Lagos State University of Education Account Online through the provided link: https://lasued.edu.ng/liive/. Only candidates of Lagos State Origin are eligible for screening and must be cleared by the LASUED Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (LIIVC) before being considered for admission. The interview will hold at the Senator Oluremi Tinubu Hall of the University.

Old applicants for the 2025/2026 Academic Sessions who have not been offered admission will only revalidate their Indigeneship Clearance Certificates at the same venue. All Direct Entry applicants of Lagos State Origin must participate in this Independent Indigeneship Verification Exercise before they can be considered for admission. Candidates are warned against paying money to individuals or other accounts, as this is done at their own risk. Only those who scored 185 and above in the 2026 UTME are eligible to apply.
