The Management of Yobe State University, Damaturu, has informed students, staff, and members of the University community that the Nigerian Army will be conducting a test firing exercise at its Command located near the University.
According to the notice, the exercise will take place within the designated military facility and may involve loud gunfire sounds, as well as the movement of military personnel and equipment around the area.
Students and staff are advised not to panic or entertain fear, as the exercise is described as a routine military activity aimed at ensuring operational readiness.
Members of the University community are also advised to avoid unnecessary movement around the vicinity of the military command during the exercise and to comply with all safety instructions issued by security personnel.
The University Management appreciated the understanding and cooperation of students and staff.
