The Federal University Lokoja has made a significant announcement regarding its academic programs for the upcoming session.

The university's management has notified prospective students that the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery program will not be available for the 2026/2027 academic session admission exercise.

This decision affects those who initially selected MBBS as their course of choice, and the university is urging them to take immediate action to remain eligible for the Post-UTME screening exercise. Affected candidates are advised to effect a Change of Course on the JAMB portal and choose an alternative program of study.

An update on the institution's official portal states that MBBS will not be offered in the 2026/2027 screening exercise. To ensure participation, candidates are to select a relevant alternative program from the drop-down list on the Screening TAB.

• Log into the JAMB Portal: Visit the Central Admissions Processing System or a registered JAMB CBT centre to apply for a change of course.
• Choose an Alternative Programme: Select a related science or allied health discipline currently offered by the university to ensure Post-UTME eligibility. Candidates must select a relevant alternative program from the drop-down list on the university's screening tab.
