Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, has announced the commencement of its Post-UTME screening exercise for the 2026/2027 Admission Exercise. This exercise is for all United Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and DIRECT ENTRY (DE) candidates who have applied for admission into the university.

The exercise will start on Friday, 3rd July, 2026, and it's important to note that there will be no examination. The university will consider UTME candidates who did not initially choose EKSU but scored 150 and above in the 2026 UTME and are willing to change their institutions of first choice to EKSU on the JAMB CAPS.

Ekiti State University will also give concession to successful students from its Pre-Degree and JUPEB Programme, in line with Senate-approved regulations. Candidates awaiting the results of their Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (SSCE) can apply for the FUTME screening exercise and are advised to apply as soon as the results of the examinations are released.

The university's minimum UTME score for certain courses is as follows:

• Computer Science, Engineering Programme, Medical Biochemistry: 180
• Mass Communication, Medical Laboratory Science: 200
• Nursing Science: 220
• Pharmacy: 230
• Law: 240
• Medicine (MBBS): 250

Candidates with lower scores in these courses may apply for FUTME screening into other courses of their choice and effect the change on JAMB CAPS to be considered for admission.

ELIGIBILITY

Ekiti State University will admit only candidates who made EKSU their first choice in JAMB/NECO/NABTEB in the relevant subject, with not more than two sittings. Direct Entry candidates must possess a minimum of Upper Credit from Polytechnic for Engineering programmes and Lower Credit for other programmes.

Other requirements for Direct Entry include:

• A minimum of Second Class Lower Division in related programmes for NUBS and Law
• For Nursing Science, the candidate must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• NCE with Credit/Merit in relevant teaching subjects for Education programme

Direct entry candidates who are interested in changing their first choice of institution to EKSU may also be considered. These candidates should send their transcripts via the email address admissions.registration@eksu.edu.ng on or before 31st July, 2026, failing which their application for admission will not be considered.

UTME Candidates with NECO results should submit their 'Result Verification Tokens' at the Admissions Office for verification of their 'O' Level Results. Candidates without result verification tokens should visit NECO websites and input the email address admissions.registration@eksu.edu.ng.

Any candidate who fails to participate in the screening exercises will not be considered for admission into the University. Additionally, any false information uploaded by the candidate will lead to automatic disqualification.

INSTRUCTIONS TO ALL CANDIDATES

1. To apply for 2026/2027 UTME/DE, go to eksuportal.eksu.edu.ng, click on ADMISSION, and you will be directed to the online application portal.

2. Sign up by providing the required details to create an account. Ensure you provide your active email address and personal phone number. A verification email will be sent to you.

3. After successful sign-up, click LOGIN to log on to your dashboard. Applicants are to log in using their correct email address or JAMB registration number as the username and enter the password provided while signing up.

4. On your dashboard, select the type of application (2026/2027 FUTME application). The next page requires inputting the applicant's JAMB Registration Number (UTME). For applicants who chose EKSU, their information will be populated automatically, and they are processed to fill in their other details.

5. The next page requires payment for the FUTME screening form. Click on PAY NOW to redirect you to online payment.

6. On successful payment, the application form will be opened. Upload a 1' x 1' coloured passport photograph with a red background as JPEG format only on the form page.

7. Upload details of your 'O' Level result(s) obtained in not more than two sittings in the following examinations: WAEC/SSCE, NECO, NABTEB, etc. After completing the shown process, click submit, validate, and print out the completed screening form.
