Enugu State University of Science and Technology has announced the commencement of online screening for candidates seeking admission into the institution for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The screening exercise is open to all candidates who chose ESUT in the 2026 UTME and those who did not choose the university but now wish to apply. However, candidates who did not initially choose ESUT must first apply to JAMB for a change of institution.

Candidates should note the following:

• ESUT minimum UTME scores for different courses are as follows:
• Medicine/Surgery, Nursing Sciences, Law - 240
• Pharmacy, Doctor of Optometry, Doctor of Physiotherapy - 220
• Med Lab Sciences, Medical Radiography, Computer Science, Intelligence and Security Studies, Cyber Security, Data Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence - 200
• Anatomy, Public Health, Civil Engineering, Electrical/ Electronic Engineering, Accountancy, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Political Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, International Relations and Diplomacy, Architecture - 180
• Faculties of Agriculture, Education, Environmental Sciences and other courses - 160
• The screening will be conducted online, and candidates are not required to appear for Physical Screening or Aptitude Test.
• The screening processing fee is two thousand naira (2,000.00) only.
• Candidates will be notified of their admission status through the ESUT portal and JAMB CAPS.

COMMENCEMENT OF REGISTRATION:

Online registration starts on Tuesday, 7th July 2026, and ends on Saturday, 15th August 2026.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:

• Visit the school's portal: portal.esut.edu.ng and click 2026/2027.
• Under Regular Students, click 2026/2027 Admission Screening Registration.
• In the page that shows up, key in your JAMB Reg. No. and Click.
• Key in the required details in the next page to generate your invoice.
• On the invoice page, you have payment options using Interswitch, which include:

a. By Bank Branch: This involves you proceeding to any commercial bank with a printout of the generated invoice, which contains a reference number that you would use for payment of N2,000 via Enugu State IGR pay direct. b. By Debit Card: This involves you paying online with your Debit Card.

• Return to the application page and enter your JAMB Registration number again.
• Proceed with the completion of the form and confirm your entries.
• Submit your application.
• Print out your acknowledgment slip.

NB:

Candidates awaiting the results of WAEC/SSCE (May/June), NECO/SSCE (May/June), and NABTEB May (June) 2026 are eligible to apply. Results released after 30th September 2026 will not be accepted. Inconsistency in name is not acceptable to the university and may lead to disqualification.

Candidates' names on their O' Level certificates and UTME results and other registration documents must be the same.

All candidates are required to upload their SSCE O Level results on JAMB CAPS.

ATTESTATION:

Candidate must certify that the information given by him/her in each of the sections of the screening form is to the best of his/her knowledge accurate. Should any be found to be false, he/she shall be disqualified.

DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES:

All direct entry candidates who chose ESUT are also to be screened online. They are to access the school's portal and other information about the online screening as stated above. All Direct Entry candidates must request their former institutions to verify and clear them on JAMB e-facilities.
