President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of Dr. Isiaka Tunji Adelabu as the substantive Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ayede, located in Oyo State.

The announcement of this appointment was made by Mr. Sunday Adepoju, who is the acting Director of the Centre for Information, Communication and Public Relations. This information was obtained from an official statement released by the Registrar, Mr. Akinlolu Akinpade.

According to the statement from the Registrar, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, approved Dr. Adelabu's appointment. This appointment took effect from August 5, 2026.

Before his appointment as Rector, Dr. Adelabu worked as a Chartered Accountant and Chief Lecturer in the Department of Accountancy at Federal Polytechnic, Ede, in Osun State.

The Registrar also noted that Dr. Adelabu has served in various administrative roles at Federal Polytechnic, Ede. Some of these roles include:

• Head of Department
• Dean of School
• Deputy Rector (Administration)

The Registrar expressed his belief that Dr. Adelabu's experience, academic contributions, and administrative skills will greatly benefit the continued growth and development of Federal Polytechnic Ayede.

With this appointment, Dr. Adelabu becomes the second substantive Rector of the institution.

The Registrar, on behalf of the Polytechnic's Management, Staff, and Students, has called for everyone's support, cooperation, and commitment to the new Rector. This is as Dr. Adelabu takes on the responsibility of advancing the vision and mission of the institution.

The announcement also conveyed the goodwill of the Governing Council, Management, Staff, and Students to Dr. Adelabu. They wish him wisdom, strength, and the ability to provide purposeful leadership, taking the Polytechnic to greater heights.
