Candidates Offered Provisional Admission – Guidelines to Regularize Acceptance

Applicants who have received a provisional offer must follow the steps outlined below to confirm their place:

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES OFFERED PROVISIONAL ADMISSION FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

• Access the JAMB Portal and confirm your admission on the CAPS system by selecting “Accept Admission”. Failure to do so will prevent the issuance of a JAMB Admission Letter and the candidate will be treated as not admitted.
• Go to the University of Nigeria website (www.unn.edu.ng) or its portal (unnportal.edu.ng). Log in using your JAMB Registration Number to produce and download a Payment Invoice that contains a Remita reference. This invoice can be used to make payment at any commercial bank, including the UNN Microfinance Bank.
• Using the generated Payment Invoice, remit the acceptance fee of Fifty Thousand Naira Only (N50,000.00). Ensure the invoice number is entered correctly at the bank and obtain a receipt that shows both the Confirmation Number and the Invoice Number.
• Return to the University of Nigeria website or portal, log in again with your JAMB Registration Number, the Confirmation Number, and the Invoice Number. Print the Admission Slip and complete the online Acceptance Form.
• Continue with any additional fee payments and complete registration as directed on the university’s website.
• Remember that this admission is provisional and subject to verification.
• Should it later emerge—at any point up to the final year—that a student does not meet the minimum university and faculty/department entry requirements for the chosen course as stipulated by the Senate and listed in the JAMB brochure, the admission offer will be rescinded.
