This notice serves to inform the public that the online application portal for all postgraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session will be active from 20 August through 31 October 2026.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Prospective candidates are instructed to access the University Application Portal at applicant.safapply.com/kasupg where they can review the application steps and explore the catalogue of available courses.

In addition, applicants must settle a processing charge of N10,000 for Nigerian nationals or US$20 for non‑Nigerian applicants.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA

Candidates Must Possess:

• Five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at O’ Level obtained in no more than two examination sittings.
• A relevant Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, with a minimum classification of third class, or
• A Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class (Lower Division) in a discipline unrelated to the intended field of study may be considered, or
• A Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in a related area from a recognized polytechnic or institution.
• Applicants holding only a Pass in a Bachelor’s degree, an HND, or equivalent qualifications will not be eligible for admission.
• All candidates must present a valid NYSC discharge, exemption, or exclusion certificate.

PROFESSIONAL MASTER'S PROGRAMMES

Candidate Must Possess:

• Five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at O’ Level achieved within a maximum of two sittings.
• A first degree from Kaduna State University or any other recognized university in the relevant discipline, with at least a Second Class (Lower Division), or
• A holder of a Third Class degree or an HND together with a Postgraduate Diploma from Kaduna State University or another recognized institution, provided the CGPA is not less than 3.50.
• Applicants must also provide a current NYSC discharge, exemption, or exclusion certificate.

ACADEMIC MASTER'S PROGRAMMES

Candidate Must Possess:

• Five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at O’ Level within two sittings.
• A first degree from Kaduna State University or any other recognized university in the relevant field, with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 for the College of Science, Computing & Engineering and a Second Class (Lower Division) for other colleges.
• Candidates whose CGPA falls below the thresholds above may still be considered if they hold a Postgraduate Diploma with a CGPA of at least 3.50.
• A valid NYSC discharge, exemption, or exclusion certificate is mandatory.

MPHIL/PHD PROGRAMMES

Candidate Must Possess:

• Five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at O’ Level obtained in no more than two sittings.
• A first degree from Kaduna State University or any other recognized university in the relevant discipline, with at least a Second Class (Lower Division).
• An Academic Master’s degree from Kaduna State University or another recognized institution, with a CGPA that falls short of the standard PhD requirement.
• Applicants must also submit a current NYSC discharge, exemption, or exclusion certificate.

DOCTORATE DEGREE PROGRAMMES

Candidates must possess:

• Five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at O’ Level within a maximum of two sittings.
• A first degree from Kaduna State University or any other recognized university in the relevant field, with a minimum classification of Second Class (Lower Division).
• An Academic Master’s degree from Kaduna State University or any recognized institution, with a CGPA of 4.00 for the College of Science, Computing & Engineering and 3.50 for other colleges.
• Each applicant is required to draft a tentative research proposal of 1,000‑1,500 words, which should be uploaded during the application process.
• A current NYSC discharge, exemption, or exclusion certificate remains a compulsory document.

• Initiate the process by creating a user profile, using your email address as the username, and set a secure password. After registration, log in to complete your profile details.
• Proceed to complete the online application form with the required personal and academic information.
• Applicants who receive provisional admission for M.Sc., M.A., MPhil, PhD, or Doctorate programmes will be asked to present official transcripts, original academic certificates, and a valid NYSC discharge, exemption, or exclusion certificate at the time of registration.
