Human Resources Development Centre, together with the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education, Faculty of Education, University of Lagos, is calling for applications from qualified candidates who wish to enrol in its two‑year part‑time programme designed for active athletes. Successful participants will receive a DIPLOMA IN HUMAN KINETICS AND HEALTH EDUCATION.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• Five (5) credits in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), NECO or GCE O’Level, including Mathematics, English Language, Biology and at least one other Science subject, obtained in a single sitting.
• Possession of a Coaching Grade III Certificate or a Diploma issued by the National Institute of Sports.

DURATION / TUITION FEE / COURSE MATERIALS

The programme spans two (2) academic sessions.

Tuition fee is set at ₦100,000.00 per session.

Course material cost amounts to ₦10,000.00.

DATE OF QUALIFYING EXAMINATION AND INTERVIEW

Date: Tuesday, 17 November 2026

Venue: Sports Centre, University of Lagos

Time: 9:00 a.m.

Lectures commence on Monday, 30 November 2026.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

• Prospective students should access the HRDC portal at https://hrdc.unilag.edu.ng and complete the pre‑application form, choosing “HRDC Diploma Programme” as the Application Type. The form requests surname, first name, middle name, e‑mail address and mobile number. After successfully submitting the pre‑application, a Payment Reference Number will be generated; applicants must print this reference.
• The printed reference should be taken to any of the designated HRDC fee‑collection banks (Ecobank, Access Bank, First Bank, or Wema Bank) or to the university campus to settle the application fee of ₦20,000.00.
• Once payment is confirmed, return to the portal, click the application form link and log in using the Payment Reference Number and the surname (entered in lower‑case as it appears on the pre‑application) as the password. Choose “Diploma in Human Kinetics and Health Education,” then re‑select the “Application Type” and click “Continue Application.”

N.B.

• Only applicants whose payment has been verified by the bank will gain access to the full application form. If any issues arise, applicants should revisit the bank where payment was made and request that the transaction be posted. Confirmation of receipt will be emailed to those who have paid.
• The password corresponds exactly to the lower‑case version of the surname entered earlier; any discrepancy will prevent login.
• After the online form is completed, printed copies must be submitted to both the HRDC office and the HKHE department together with the required documents no later than Monday, 22 February 2027.

DOCUMENTS TO SUBMIT

• Original printout of the completed application and one photocopy.
• Two (2) photocopies of the applicant’s Birth Certificate.
• Two (2) photocopies of the Application fee receipt (teller).
• Two (2) photocopies of academic and professional credentials.
